Introduction:
In April 2024, Lisa Martinez contacted our team with her idea of creating a directory website for moms. She required a place that can serve as a marketplace where businesses that are targeted or related to mothers can register, post listings, and get connected to a mother looking for services of a business.

Problem Statement:
Lisa needed a reliable directory website that would enable businesses to be registered, promote profiles, and huge leads for moms. Another requirement was that the platform had to include a free and a premium subscription service.
Project Journey and Timeline:
- 05/04/2023: Project Inception: Lisa Martinez emailed us her project concept. Consultation meetings were conducted in order to gain insights on the client’s expectations and needs.
- 20/04/2023: Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Detailed requirements were gathered based on discussions with Lisa. Some of the important characteristics and capabilities were pointed out and described.
- 10/05/2023: Design Phase: Designs of the wireframes and prototypes of the platform were developed. Preliminary layouts as well as assessments were made and received from Lisa on the designs and approvals.
- 30/05/2023: Development Phase: Initially, the creation of the directory platform was implemented with PHP. Thus, business registration, profile creation, and lead generation were developed.
- 15/07/2023 - Testing Phase: A lot of testing was done in order to verify its capabilities and also protect it from malicious attackers. In the implementation process of the software, beta testing was conducted to a limited number of users only.
- 01/09/2023 - Deployment Phase: The platform was implemented. To regulate this area, specific training sessions and written materials were given to Lisa and her subordinates.
- 15/09/2023 - Present Maintenance and Support: The support has been ongoing and frequent updates have been made. Feedback about the platform is reflective of the changes that have been made to the platform.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
We conducted several meetings with Lisa to understand her requirements, including:
Design Phase:
The design of the website was done by our team with special consideration given to both the usability and the aesthetics of the site’s layout. The girls finalized the designs for the dresses which had to be approved by Lisa.
Development and Implementation:
Using PHP, we implemented the following features:
Created an application where businesses can register and fill in comprehensive information about their company.
Provided moms with the opportunity to look for services, and helped business establishments to create leads.
Generated the facility where memberships can be paid or not, so that companies can select the required option.
Implemented a system for businesses to provide customer support and manage inquiries through an integrated platform.
Testing:
Thorough testing helped to guarantee that all in-game functions were running smoothly. This involved functional testing, Interface testing, and testing the program with a group of users known as beta testing.
Deployment:
As planned, the website was successfully deployed on 01/09/2024. Lisa and her team were trained and well informed on using the platform through proper documentation to avoid inefficiency.
Maintenance and Support:
After deployment, the software has been updated with constant help that we specifically provide to overcome the encountered problems and produce new changes according to the customers’ recommendations. Maintenance and constant updating of the platform keeps it in its best working condition.
Results and Conclusion:
Through the use of the directory website for businesses, it becomes easier for firms to target mothers in need of their services. Lisa confirmed that the graphical user interface was easy to use while the application ran very powerfully and had an efficient system for generating leads. In this way, using PHP allowed designing a stable and aesthetically pleasing website corresponding to Lisa’s specifications and promoting the platform’s performance.
