In May 2023, we received an email from a person named Ahmed Khan, who pitched the idea of creating a dedicated freelancing directory for the UAE market. He required a platform in which employers could advertise vacancies and the employees could then apply for them.

Problem Statement:
Ahmed needed a directory website where companies can post their vacancies and where freelancers can plan their application for such vacancies. It required the functionality of user registration, the ability to create a profile and subscriptions plans.
Project Journey and Timeline:
- 02/05/2023: Project Inception: Ahmed Khan got in touch with our team with this project concept. First of all, workshops for getting familiar with his expectations and ideas have been conducted.
- 15/05/2023 - Requirements Gathering and Analysis: From the discussion with Ahmed, the detailed requirements were obtained. Most of the key features and functionalities were identified and noted down.
- 05/06/2023 - Design Phase: Prototyping involved creation of wireframes for the platform. From Ahmed, approvals and designs’ reviews were sought.
- 25/06/2023- Development Phase: Originally, the creation of the directory platform was based on PHP. Software solutions for business registration, user profile creation as well as lead generation were deployed.
- 10/08/2023 - Testing Phase: A lot of function and security tests were performed before the release of the application. Beta testing was done only on a few people who could test the application.
- 01/09/2023 - Deployment Phase: There was successful implementation of the platform. Training activities for Ahmed and his team were conducted and documentations were issued to him.
- 15/09/2023 - Present Maintenance and Support: They have been supported and frequently updated. Some of the changes made to the platform are based on feedback from existing users of this service.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
We held several meetings with Ahmed to understand his requirements, including:
Design Phase:
Wireframes and prototypes of the website were designed by our design team, with an emphasis on intuitive navigation and an attractive design. Ahmed did the final adjustments on the designs and agreed to them.
Development and Implementation:
Using PHP, we implemented the following features:
Implemented a quick-sign up and subscription services for firms and independent practitioners.
Allowed organizations to advertise jobs and independent workers to seek work.
Enabled the freelancers to publicize their skills as well as employers to publicize their company details.
Developed the monthly and the yearly plan for the users.
Testing:
Thorough testing was conducted in order to guarantee that all the functionalities were smooth. This involved functional testing, interface testing, and testing with a number of users in the beta-testing stage.
Deployment:
The deployment of the website was done on 01/09/2023. As a result, Ahmed and his team received personalized training and manuals in order to maintain control over the platform.
